Feasibility & Economic Impact Studies
In a market where project funding, both public and private, is scrutinized more than ever, it is imperative to have a full understanding and plan before embarking on a project of any size.
The Sports Force is the industry leader in feasibility and economic impact studies, providing project planning and analysis for projects of all types, including: individual fields, youth sports complexes, minor league baseball stadiums, and professional facilities. We have prepared studies for a wide array of clients, including:
Unlike other firms that provide studies with no checks and balances, The Sports Force offers a wide array of services that help our clients obtain the results we show in the study, from master planning and design to construction and operational placement. We do not strive to just leave our clients with a study that tells them about their project. We strive to create long-term relationships with our clients in order to help guide them from start to finish.
In an industry filled with studies that present exaggerated numbers and statistics for “feel good” results, The Sports Force strives to provide our clients with accurate information that outlays realistic and obtainable expectations. Our staff’s experience as top level designers, owners, operators, and end-users of amateur and professional sports venues gives us the experience and understanding of the industry that no other firm can offer. It is this experience that allows us to provide our clients with accurate and relevant information necessary to make informed decisions throughout the process.
Whether a youth sports complex, a collegiate athletic campus or a professional stadium, sports venues are no longer just about the action on the field. Visitors, spectators and consumers are expecting a sports destination to provide not only high-quality athletic facilities, but also entertainment options and experiences for the entire family.
While it is important to make sure that the athletic experience a facility provides still remains paramount in the planning process, The Sports Force has built a niche in the industry around creating complexes that provide life-long experiences on and off the field for athletes and visitors alike. Alongside professionally planned sports fields, recent The Sports Force projects have included such amenities as putt-putt courses, zip lines, adventure courses, wake parks, and an extensive list of additional recreational and entertainment amenities.
The Sports Force has extensive experience in land use, site planning and master planning for sports complexes. Our master planning services provide our clients with a framework for informed decision making that is sensitive to budget parameters, operational efficiency, consumer expectations and local requirements.
Our unmatched experience in the planning, design, construction and operation of all types and levels of sports facilities provides our clients with necessary information to make timely, informed decisions about every part of their project.
Proper master planning services provide the following benefits to a project:
Sports Complex Design Documentation
The Sports Force is dedicated to creating sports parks of distinction, and the first step to this is developing the highest level of design standards. We believe that regardless of budget, proper design is the foundation to a successful project. Our team works tirelessly to continue to provide and improve the design specifications that we deliver to our clients. In an ever-changing industry it is important to identify trends versus standards – our role in designing our clients’ facilities is to make sure we provide the highest standards in design that will not only maximize budgets, but also extend the longevity of the field.
The Sports Force has designed sports complexes for clients that range from youth and high school to NCAA, MLB, NFL and MLS. Regardless of the level of play, our team provides each and every project we work on with the same effort and standards. The Sports Force specializes in natural grass fields as well as synthetic turf, providing sports complex design services across the country.
The Sports Force is the industry leader in the field of sports complex design. As the only design firm that also possesses operational experience, we are able to provide our clients with professional, innovative complexes that maximize budget while also catering to operational efficiency. Our talented and professionally educated staff has years of experience in all facets of the design process.
Within the context of design, it has become so important for The Sports Force to distinguish itself within the broader framework of creating unique player and family experiences. Sports complexes no longer cater simply to the athlete. In order to be successful, a complex must be an experiential space for all guests.
From an athlete perspective, The Sports Force focuses on designing facilities that provide all participants with professional-level playing facilities combined with unique design that provides a one-of-a-kind experience. From professional field replicas to community-themed design, unique playing fields provide players with a unique experience as well as a call-to-action to return to the facility.
As sports tournaments have transformed from weekend trips to family vacations, it has never been more important to provide entertainment options for all members of the family. One of the most common reasons for a bad experience at a sports complex is the lack of on-site opportunities for siblings before, during and after games. In today’s world of sports tourism, if you cannot entertain the entire family throughout their trip, you should not expect the family to come back.

The Sports Force has designed myriad different entertainment amenities at complexes that go far beyond an average playground. These amenities will be enjoyed by participants and their families during programming and provide operators with potential revenue opportunities through local usage. These amenities can include, but are not limited to:
The Sports Force provides clients looking to develop sports complexes with a one-stop shop for design services. In order to make a seamless process for our clients, our team has the capabilities to handle every stage of the design, including but not limited to:
While some of our clients are creating an operational sports business with their projects, many are developing sports complexes for the benefits they provide elsewhere, including: community and quality of life enhancements, increased spending and economic impact, and to act as development anchors. In most instances where a sports complex is being developed for reasons outside of the park itself, the client is not necessarily interested in running the day-to-day operations of the complex (i.e., a City or a Retail Developer). However, in order to achieve the long-term goals initially set for the project, it is imperative that the complex provides visitors with quality operations and a first-class experience.
For these clients and projects, The Sports Force provides operational placement services. These services provide the complex and its visitors with first-class operations and services, while allowing our clients to focus on their other projects. Our experience suggests that each sports field has unique concerns that directly impact the success of the project. Our Project Management guarantees that every project stays on time and on budget.
All work begins with the assembly of budgets and cost estimates. The application of technology thus begins within our Preconstruction Services Department.
The Sports Force Project Managers have access to on-site laptops and system integration for on-site use at all of our project sites. Our Project Managers use these tools in combination with critical path scheduling software, project documentation and cost-tracking software.
In addition, each jobsite is computerized and linked to our corporate office network. The resulting level of interconnectivity allows staff to share real-time data, review project status, and communicate via email both internally and with clients as needed.
