Opening in 2015, The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge will consist of six fully-lit, synthetic turf youth baseball and softball fields. Located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, the complex will be constructed on the side of mountain, with 80-foot changes in elevation between fields. The complex architecture and layout will pay homage to the Great Smoky Mountain Park located a few miles away.
The fields will include replicas of baseball parks throughout different levels of Minor and Major League Baseball, including Rookie League, Class A, Double-A, Triple-A, and MLB. Players and families alike will be provided the opportunity to learn about the structure of baseball as they, “work their way up the mountain.” The entry building lodge provides families and players with concessions, gift shop, restrooms, locker rooms and one of the best views in the entire region from the outdoor deck.
